Answers to the most common questions
Bad weather ?
We ask our passengers to dress appropriately in relation to the weather. Two of our three boats, however, are covered, and we can, if it rains, ensure our passengers to travel dry. If necessary, ponchos are also available.
Cancellation ?
Although this is exceptional, we can cancel your ride for several reasons:
- If the Loire is in flood, in which case we will inform you 48H in advance
- Risk of a violent thunderstorm or storm
- In case of force majeure (breakdown, injury ...)
In all the cases mentioned, the Passeurs de Loire team undertakes to postpone your trip at no additional cost, or to refund you if no other date is appropriate.
If YOU cancel for weather reasons, we will try to find another date. Out of respect for the organizers, we ask you to inform us as soon as possible of your withdrawal. For online purchases, notify 48H in advance for a cancellation and a refund or postponement. After this time, you can only get a carry or credit in the form of a gift certificate.
Which boat ?
The choice of boat used for the ride will be decided by the crew according to several criteria (number of passengers, weather, river level) in order to ensure the best possible service. We have two boats with a maximum of 12 passengers, and one with a legal capacity of 54 passengers. Know that on the latter, we welcome a maximum of 30 passengers to ensure maximum comfort.
Can we navigate ?
During the summer of 2019, particularly dry, we sailed every day. If it was impossible to navigate, we would warn you.
Picnic ?
In formulas where you bring your picnic, know that it will be taken most of the time aboard the boat, where we install tables and benches for more comfort. Sometimes we offer our passengers picnics in the shade of trees on the shore.
Meal at the hostel ?
In the case of a formula including a meal at the Sigloy Inn and / or another visit, passengers are requested to travel on their own.
Disabled ?
Access to our boats is through walkway in most cases, or directly from the shore. The team is at your disposal to ensure you boarding and disembarking. Access to the boats being dependent on the level of the Loire, we ask you to inform us if you or a person of your group is in a wheelchair, so that we prepare the best your arrival.
Security
Our boats are approved for the transport of passengers. All three are equipped with lifejackets and lifebuoys. Children under 12 years are necessarily equipped with a waistcoat.
The crew is trained in first aid techniques, which are regularly reviewed. The entire team holds the necessary permits to operate our boats.
Car park ?
Two car parks are arranged to park your vehicles. They are not kept.
We will not be liable for loss, damage or theft.
